The Floating Offshore Wind Shot Summit is an event designed to bring together federal, tribal, and state leaders, policymakers, experts, community leaders, and innovators to explore issues central to advancing the development of technology critical to floating offshore wind and discuss federal actions needed to bring this emerging renewable energy source to the United States.
2024 Summit
The second Floating Offshore Wind Shot™ Summit was held on May 16th, 2024, in Sacramento, CA. This Summit highlighted the accomplishments since the launch of the Shot and discussed near-term priorities for future work. See below for more information on this year's summit and the actions key leaders are taking to bring floating offshore wind to the United States.
This recording includes the introductory remarks from the Undersecretary of Science and Innovation at the U.S. Department of Energy, Dr. Geraldine Richmond, the Secretary of Commerce, Gina Raimondo, the U.S. Department of Transportation's Deputy Assistant Secretary for Transportation Policy, Ann Shikany, Congresswoman Suzanne Bonamici (OR), and Senator Edward Markey (MA).
This video recording includes keynote remarks from Jocelyn Brown-Saracino, Offshore Wind Lead for the U.S. Department of Energy. These remarks describe federal actions that resulted in over $950 million of support for the Floating Offshore Wind Shot since its establishment and introduce near-term priorities for the Shot effort.
